P R O G R A M: "Vertical Gardening and Unusual Containers”*
Speaker: Angela Roth
She is a Texas Master Gardener and educator. As the Grassroom Consultant at Kolter Elementary, she oversees an acre of planted areas: six pocket prairies, nine raised beds for edible crops, two orchards, one native pond, a pollinator garden, and “Jennie’s Garden,” a native planting area. * This program will be shorter than usual (approximately 20 minutes) so that members can have ample time to socialize after the summer break.
Dues are $80 and include a Yearbook.

P R O G R A M: “Compost 101”
Speaker: Jeff Harmon
Jeff will provide an overview of various compost solutions and bring sample compost from Mandell Park, where he volunteers as Compost Coordinator; members will have the opportunity to schedule consultations with Mandell Park volunteers for setting up/troubleshooting their own compost areas.

P R O G R A M: “Horticulture Overview”
Speaker: Carolynne White
A longtime, active member of Southampton Garden Club and respected floral show judge, Carolynne will review the different categories of hortmber are enciculture for the Flower Show and give tips for meeting the judging criteria (e.g., containers, display, size, etc.). Members are encouraged to bring samples they might want to cultivate for the show and Carolynne will help them identify the category/ies to which they belong.

PROGRAM: “What is Creative Design?”
Speaker: Corrie Ten-Have
A Master Flower Show Judge and frequent presenter to the Southampton Garden Club, Corrie Ten-Have will give a demonstaration on how much to match blooms to mood/color, creative approaches for abstract design, and several types of materials, among other topics.

PROGRAM: “Photo Cropping Techniques" and "Native Plants, Trees and Shrubs for Gardeners in the Gulf Coast Area”
Speakers: Carolynne White and Tricia Bradbury
Carolynne will provide practical tips and encouragement for members to optimize their photos for entry in the Flower Show.
Tricia is an active member of the Sugar Land Garden Club, Houston Federation of Garden Clubs, and Fort Bend County Master Gardeners. Her Backyard is certified as a Texas Parks & WIldlife WIlscape, a National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat, and a Monarch Watch Monarch Waystation, and her gardening focus i wildlife habitat and culinary herbs.
